How does consent work for adults in my family?

Each adult grants their own scope, and it's visible to everyone involved. Your spouse can grant scheduling-only access so Kin can book for him without ever seeing results. Scopes are dated, revocable in one tap, and can be set to expire, so a visiting parent's access ends the day their trip does.

What happens when my child gets older?

At 13, access auto-restricts to age-appropriate scopes and Kin prompts you to request your child's own consent. At 18 it converts to an adult account they control. Nothing quietly stays open.

Do I need to connect my insurance portals?

You don't have to. Kin works from documents you scan and details you enter once. If you do connect a payer or pharmacy, it pulls claims and refill status automatically, but scanning alone is enough to get the full picture.

Is Kin giving medical advice?

No. Kin is administrative: scheduling, records, refills, claims, forms and deadlines. It will never interpret results or suggest treatment. It makes sure the right clinician sees your family on time.

Where does my family’s health data live?

Encrypted at rest and in transit, in US infrastructure, under a HIPAA-aligned BAA with our processors. We never sell data and never train models on your family's records. Export or delete everything at any time.
